Don't forget this Friday is "Work Your Proper Hours Day"

According to the British Trade Union Congress, over five million people at work in the UK regularly do unpaid overtime, giving their employers £23 billion of free work every year.

In other words, 24th February 2006 is the day when the average person who does unpaid overtime finishes the unpaid days they do every year, and starts earning for themselves!

If you are one of these people then then the TUC simply suggests you should take a proper lunchbreak, not just a sandwich at your desk, and leave on time, to enjoy your own time on Friday evening.

For more details see Work Your Proper Hours Day - February 24th (TUC: WorkSmart). If you want to make a further point, but want to avoid direct confrontation with your boss, then consider sending a Boss-A-Gram (an anonymous email with a pre-determined message). You can also download Posters about working hours to pin on your noticeboard, etc. and take part in a quiz to help find you find out why you have to do so much unpaid extra work.
