According to an article in The Guardian yesterday, a blog written by a social worker - Winston Smith: Working with the underclass - has won a prestigious blog award.
The blog is written by an anonymous male who tells tales of his experiences as a care home worker.
He also details the failings of senior managers and some of seemingly absurd policies and practices put in place by the social services, and criticises "a systems that is useless and ineffective."
See Orwell Prize goes to blogger who writes about 'working with the underclass' by James Robinson for more details.
