What civil servants (mis)use the Internet for on work time

According to the BBC News website the other day, the Department for Transport (DfT) has disclosed the 1,000 sites visited most often by staff while at work.

Belly dancing, Doctor Who and the Roman Empire are just some of the interests of civil servants as revealed by their web browsing habits.

At work in order to keep an eye on employees the company uses these online tools that constantly monitor employees on how they use their computer at work. However, it is not harmful to employees for it does not invade employee privacy. Using this tool it also reminds employees that they are being moderated and they should not abuse internet use and policy. Using this tool it limits wasted time of the employees at work at the same time it helps employees to stay focus.
