That was someway to end a great footballing career - chest butting your opponent in the most important football match of the last four years.
Coinciding with the Zinedine Zidane's high-profile exit, BBC News Magazine is running a feature on the 10 things to do on the last day of your career.
Obviously most of us don't have our work regularly broadcast to millions (perhaps billions in the case of Zinedine Zidane), but, as the article linked above suggests, "How are you meant to leave the office in a way that won't be forgotten?"
There are ten suggestions (funny how there's always a round number of things to do when...) and include: leave a challenge for your successor, provide a scathing leaving speech, make use full use of the 'exit interview', etc. There is plenty more in the article to go at not included here; there's also the chance to add your own opinions on the matter.
