Earlier this week I came across a story on the BBC News website that has both an entertainment and informative angle.
The story comments on research that concluded: "For middle-aged and older people at least, using the internet helps boost brain power".
The story suggests the Internet can:
- help to counteract the age-related physiological changes that cause the brain to slow down.
- lead to significant activity in regions of the brain controlling language, reading, memory and visual abilities
- reduce their risk of dementia, if the task is sufficiently stimulating in terms of mental involvement.
For details see Internet use 'good for the brain' for more details.

Alternatively, Google what you believe to be key words in this blog posting (aside for the title!) and see if you can find the original story for yourself.
